What a weekend for losing Jockeys!! After Sams unfortunate exploits last Wednesday, this weekend saw a number of lads added to the easy list. Ruby Walsh suffers a double leg fracture in Ireland, Jack Doyle the same injury at Hereford. Harry Skelton and Richie Killoran both pop their collarbones as well, so it will soon be last man standing!! Best wishes to all of these boys for a swift return to the saddle. Sam, by the way, is up and pottering about gently, and hopes to be back in January. One of Bobby Gees owners can also be added to the injury list - Coventry City centre half Ben Turner who has been in magnificent form for the Sky Blues and is currently rated one of the best players in the Championship will be out for a while with damaged knee ligaments. Ben who scored in Citys 3-2 home defeat on Saturday is a lovely lad and we also wish him a speedy return to action. Robo who is popping his cork at home, will be prepared for a 0-125 Novices Chase at Folkestone on November 16th - it is sooner than expected, but he is really really well, and the race is perfect for him as he is rated 125 and, if I have read the conditions of the race correctly, does not shoulder a penalty!! Omaruru will run in early December. I have sold 7 shares in him since last Wednesday, with further commitment from several others. There are just a few shares remaining so please give me a call on 07909 518902. Omars half brother, Ithinkbest, was purchased at the recent Horses In Training sales out of Sir Michael Stoutes yard by Robert Hennessy (Trainer of Sublimity), so the mare could have 2 nice hurdlers on the go this winter! Who knows they may both meet up in Gloucestershire in the Spring! Well we can dream!!
