Robo first the rest nowhere!! Just about sums up yesterdays stellar performance form Robo. Back at the track where he won on his chasing bow, Robo was simply brilliant yesterday, travelling smoothly, and jumping like a cat, he tracked Film Festival for 2 1/2 circuits before putting the race to bed in a matter of strides after the pair had landed neck and neck over the second last. Tom O'Brien, who came for just the one ride gave him a peach of a ride, and uttered the words that all owners want to hear after a race, namely that 'this is the nicest novice chaser I have ridden this year'. Now that Robo is two out of two for us we will have to think about stepping him up in grade, and it will mean a close look at the programme book over the next week or so to identify some possible targets. Thanks again to all at Fakenham who make the day out there such a joy, but I suppose it helps when your horse wins by 33 lengths eased down! The course is very lucky for our partnerships, who have had 5 six runs at the track yielding four wins a third and a fifth!! Not a bad strike rate, and at a course that always provide excellent prizemoney. While on the subject of recent form, our last 5 runners have been 1,3,2,2,1 We are in a purple patch and long may it continue! One sad part of yesterday was that Sam was missing from the saddle. Sam is recovering well from his neck fracture, and Robo is his ride after he has done so much hard work on him, it was just a shame that he was not on yesterday! Thanks for all you've done Sam, and he is a lot to look forward to when you get back! Kikos is entered at Huntingdon on Saturday, and with a dry forecast is a likely runner. Mark Bradburne who rode Omaruru so well at Warwick is in line for the ride.
