I have to confess to having had more than a slight lump in my throat as we led Bobby Gee back into the winners enclosure yesterday. Bobby is a real favourite, and it has been a very long,rollercoaster ride since his last win. It was lovely to see all bar one of his owners at the track, we did miss George, and we wish him, and his family all the best during their difficult time. I hope yesterdays results helped to raise spirits, if only briefly.Tom O'Brien took the ride, and now boasts a 3 from 4 strike rate for the yard. He bounced Bobby out in front and they travelled away beautifully in their own rhythmn and pulled away after the last for a well deserved 5 length win. Noel Fehily got off of Bob at Chepstow and said that he jumped like a cat - Tom got off and called him a stag! Not bad for a dodgy jumper!! Bobby seems to be fine after his run and spent a few hours in the field today, when the frost had gone.A trip back to Lingfield in mid December could be on the cards. Robo has been raised 9lbs by the handicapper which looks fair, and the jury is still out as to his next target - looking at the Raceform Outlook paper today it seems as though he has achieved the joint top speed rating of any chaser that has run this year! The other one on a rating of 118 is only Imperial Commander!!! Omaruru is in good form and we are looking forward to him at Warwick. Kikos, (down 2lbs this week) yesterday went on holiday to Michael and Fiona Kehoes, where he will spend the next few weeks. He will have a breathing operation, either over Christmas, or early in the new year and return to Fences Farm in January.Bobby Gee's 1/2 brother 'Grey Bobby' continues to impress and is cantering at this early stage as he has plenty of spirit!
