Monday 10 January

I have everything crossed today! Bobby Gee will be entered fo the £60,000 Totesport Classic Chase at Warwick, and looking at previous runnings of the race, off of a mark of 126 he would scrape into the bottom of the handicap. We will not run him from a long way out of the weights, but if he gets in I am sure he will love the trip and conditions, and it could be a good day out! Before Christmas the fences Farm Christmas bash had to be postponed due to heavy snow in the afternoon, so it is rearranged for Saturday night - if things go well at Warwick I may not be seen for a day or two!! Bobby Gee's half brother Grey Bobby will have an entry in the bumper on the same card, and will hopefully be making his debut. I really like this horse, I think he is strong and tough, and although not bred to win a bumper he will very much come into his own over a trip and fences in the near future! Thanks to Michael Kehoe who yesterday drove us up to Richard Kents Mickley Stud in Shropshire to look at some foals. There were some nice foals from good families so it has given me a lot to think about. I will be attending the sales at the end of the month so we will wait and see what goes there before making a decision.
