Thursday 27 January
Our best wishes to Sam, who, this afternoon at Warwick, has his first ride back after breaking his neck at Chepstow in November. Having to do 10st on a horse with more letters than numbers in its form is a fairly low key comeback, but he will be raring to go nonetheless! Omaruru form comes under scrutiny in the 1.10 at Warwick, when 3 horses that he ran against last time at Huntingdon go again, lets hope they frank the form. He will have entries a week on Saturday and Sunday. Grey Bobby's intended run at Hereford looks in increasing danger of being lost to the frost, the course is covered, but their temperatures are not forecast to rise above freezing from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. He is in at Ludlow on Monday as well but being in the same area, and another hard frost forecast on Sunday night that too could be lost! Bloody Weather!! Bobby Gee will finish his course of antibiotics shortly and then start back in more serious work, and then a plan can be hatched.Nick Sarsons dropped our new purchase at Michael and Fiona Kehoes yesterday evening - although very tired, she arrived in good order and will go out in Michaels new foal paddock, where she will enjoy his newly built field shelter with her new friend that has come from Doncaster with her.
