The 2 yr old Overbury gelding that we thought might just be a bit of a boyo, has, I am happy to say, been anything but. He was introduced to a saddle and bridle on Saturday, and has been long reined twice a day since. He was backed and ridden around a stable yesterday, which went very well, and this morning he was ridden up the drive, and was as good as gold. This is a quality youngster that I purchased last year as a foal. He is a big strong lad, whos full brother won 2 bumpers before going on to be 2nd in the Championship bumper at the Aintree Grand National Meeting, after which he was sold for 290,000g and went on to win over hurdles and fences. The only draw back of buying these babies is the length of time you have to wait to see it all come together, but this boy is on his way now, and will be for sale as a whole or in shares next year.
