Headline 'Hits The Bar' could mean 2 things! Colebrooke just misses out and finishes second - which is what he did, I went and had a drink after the race -0 which is what I did! Colebrooke ran a blinder finishing second, he just lacks a gear for 2 miles, and a decision will be made to up him in trip against older horses, or stay within the juvenile ranks, and when the ground eases and the emphasis is more on stamina and less on speed - which will suit him far better! I did hit the bar after his run, and it was lovely to meet Edna Tanton. Edna joined the Racing Club in the spring, and it was really nice to meet her for the first time and give her the good news that Omaruru is progressing very well. So well in fact that he tried to bite me when I saw him yesterday morning. San Telm is going very nicely, and continues to impress. Stuart rode Smart Exit in the week, and thinks he is very nice as well, we just need it to rain for him, and Kikos is in great form - he pulled Stephs arms out yesterday when he did 2 canters! I may have news about a new purchase over the next few days, and Stuart will be looking at a few at the sales today - so watch this space!
