Friday 23 December

A lovely way to go into Christmas! - Justazippy ran a blinder at Hereford yesterday! She got tangled in the tape at the first false start which broke her breast girth, she got a perfect position for the second start only for that to be called back, and when the tapes finally went up she was further back than she wanted to be. She travelled and jumped well and was a very good second under Tom O'Brien. The winner had won a listed mares bumper at Aintree in the spring, and trying to give her 7lbs was asking a lot, but Zip did all her connections proud and looks to be a very nice hurdling prospect. She should be able to go on from here, and handle a step up in trip, and possibly grade. This will be the last news update before Christmas, but feel free to get in touch if you would like more information regarding Montegonian - another share sold yesterday in this lovely grey giant who will be making his hurdling debut on Dec 27th, at either Wetherby or more likely Kempton Park. Happy Christmas to all our owners, members and followers - Thanks to Mrs Robeson, Stuart and all the staff at Fences Farm, without you we would have no fun! We will be back on line just after Christmas. By the way the answer to question 42 in John Randalls Racing Post Annual Quiz is - B !!
