What better place to have a meeting - The Cowpers Oak. Last night the owners of Benefit Cut, Howard Cooke and Terence Jenner, and I met to finalise some paperwork, and more importantly discuss some options for their exciting new venture. Benny has been held up with an infection for a couple of weeks, and I know how frustrating it has been for his new owners to sit on the sidelines while he has been recovering, but now he seems A1 again, and a good piece of work tomorrow should open up the opportunities to start a few entries. We had a look at his possible engagements last night, and all being well he will have entries starting on Monday 19th in Leicester, with a further 2 possibles later that week. A lot to look forward to! This morning Tannerman has schooled, and will head to Southwell on Monday. His flat work has been very good, and if his jumping holds up this time (over fixed brush hurdles) he could run a very good race! A trip to Twickenham tomorrow, which should be good fun, although I will miss all the action at Fences - but saying that I have to go there at some stage, so I might just watch first lot and leg it!!
