Wednesday 20 March
Really good to welcome 2 more new faces to Nick Brown Racing yesterday, with more telephone chats last night with more possible club members. There is a lot of interest in the deal that we have put together - and to be fair - so there should be! Two horses for just £20/week all inclusive, with an Owners Badge every time either horse runs, and a pro rata share in the prizemoney they both earn!! Where else can you get a deal like that???!!! 07909 518902 or info@nickbrownracing.co.uk for further details. The 'Vet Detectives' in Newmarket that have been charged with the job of identifying the lameness problem with Colebrooke have given him an MRI scan and it looks like they have found the cause of the niggle. It needs confirmation, but at the moment we are hopeful that it is an uncomplicated issue that should be easily fixed. All in all a good result! Tannerman will not be declared on the heavy ground in Chepstow tomorrow, so we will wait and see what the weather does to Stratford on Saturday. Going forward, he will have entries in Fakenham and Plumpton on April 1st - as I have said he will repay the patience of his owners if he gets to run on better ground! Smart Exit seems in great form, although he too will have to wait for a bit better ground before he runs again - he is most likely to go to Fakenham on the 1st as well. We are discussing the use of some headgear when he next runs - not because he is a rogue, but, if anything, just to make him a bit braver - he is possibly too polite!
