Late yesterday afternoon the British Horseracing Authority decided to put on an extra 'Jumpers Bumpers' card in Southwell on Thursday, due to the proliferation of abandonments lately due to this horrible weather. We have seized the chance and entered Benefit Cut in a couple of them. He will be joined on the day by The Fonz and Grassfinch, who also have entries there. Great credit must go to the BHA for putting the races on and giving the horses that want a bit of better ground the chance to run, and also for stumping up some pretty decent prizemoney! One of the races is worth £7,000!! We will wait for a suitable hurdle race with Tannerman as the conditions of the races do not suit him. He will have entries in Fakenham and Plumpton on Monday. Smart Exit will also have an entry on the Fakenahm card, and we will also have a look at a race in Exeter a week today. If the weather stays dry over the weekend we could have a busy few days - fingers crossed it plays ball for once!! A couple of images today - to illustrate how horrible things have been!!
