Stuart called today, with news that goes a long way to explaining Tannermans substandard effort on Monday. He had his first day of exercise since his run and had several coughs - so he is definitely under the weather. Initially we had thought that he had not handled the track in the higher grade, which to some extent is still true, but being off colour would also explain his run. He is on a course of antibiotics, which should clear him up, but his next run may not be in 3 weeks as planned, but he should be good to go again in about a month! Ogee ran a good race to be sixth today. A race in 3 weeks in Market Rasen will be more his cup of tea!
