Ereyna makes her debut in the concluding Mares Bumper in Towcester tonight. This grey filly, by Derby winner Erhaab, has had her moments during her life so far - at times she has been far from easy, but she is going the right way now. She will need to be very good to feature in what looks like a very warm affair with some decent form on show and some beautiful pedigrees, but she came through a raccourse gallop at the track well and she should enjoy her first go at it!! Good to see John and Tracey on Saturday. J&T have recently joined the racing club, and had been and had a morning with us about a month ago. They thoroughly enjoyed their time in Towcester with Tannerman on Tuesday, but fully understand why we have had to put him on the transfer list. They came and gave Ted a few polos, and gave him a pat. They timed it well, as yesterday we manged to find Ted a new home, and he will be having a go in a few point-to-points next season! We wish this lovely, saint of a horse a happy future. His transfer has focused the mind regarding a replacement, and I have had some quotes on some recent bumper performers yesterday - at the moment they all look a bit expensive, but with 2 sales coming up, and the economy still a bit on the fragile side - I am sure that a few big owners will be keen to move on anything that doesn't look like it will be a 'Saturday' horse. We have purchased these types in the past, and done very very well with them! Tara Dancer will come in to Fences Farm either later this week or early next week.
