Amistress will be declared to run in the mares novices hurdle in Wincanto tomorrow, but unfortunately her away day may well be thwarted by the weather. The ground down there at the moment is Good To Firm, which is ideal for her as she really appreciates a sound surface, but the weather forecast does not look good, and if they get the rain that is predicted tomorrow morning she will have a wasted trip. She is in great form, and they would be expecting a good run form her if she got her ground. She will be entered in Market Rasen on Sunday. Interesting form on show tonight as well, when the mare that beat her in Towcester runs at the same venue in a handicap. Weather Babe looks on a handy mark, and it would be nice to see her frank the form! Good to see John Bartlett, and Kate and John Bird on Saturday - they popped in to see Tara Dancer and give her a few polos. They got to see Harriet school he ponies, and went with us to check the horses out on their summer holidays. We are looking forward to hosting some new face this weekend!! A couple of photos today, showing 2 of our old boys enjoying a life after racing.Finding a decent home for them after their racing days are over is very important, and a side of the job that we take very seriously. These photos show that the time money and effort put into rehoming these horses, that have given us so much fun, is well rewarded.
