Thursday 16 May
We had a very small target of 2 horses to aim at at the Doncaster Sales yesterday and I am delighted that we secured the one we really wanted, and Guest Of Honour will be joining the team! GOH is a fine looking, big horse, with some very respectable form to go with it! The 5 yr old son of Hurricane Run has run in 3 Bumpers to date and run well each time. He was beaten just over 2 lengths on debut, and would have been closer with a clearer run - the form of this race looks good for the surface and track - in fact the winner was purchased by Aiden Murphy yesterday for £65,000, and the sixth horse was sold yesterday to Highflyer Bloodstock for £26,000!! If two of the biggest and best agents in the country are buying the form then it must be good!! GOH is a super looking horse, and Stuart was full of praise for him, he desribes him as Omaruru MKII, so lets hope we can have as much fun (but without the expensive ops)!! GOH will arrive at Fences Farm this morning and will go for a ride around the farm. He will stay in for a day or two, before heading off for a summer holiday, after which he will return and begin his hurdling career. I have been busy with new members over the last couple of weeks, but there are limited places in the racing club, for whom Guest Of Honour will run next season. The costs are a fixed £20/week (all inclusive), and remember you also get a share in Tara Dancer, who is in training and will provide a day out and some fun when GOH is on his holidays. Please give me a call on 01234 771940, or 07909 518902 for details, or alternatively email: info@nickbrownracing.co.uk Please don't hesitate as the shares will not be around for long as we now have a really good prospect to go to war with!! Just to show how good he could be - Guest Of Honour ran to the same Racing Post Rating on his second start as Benefit Cut did on his debut!!
