Brendan Bats - well- not sure he does really, but Brendan Powell Jnr, has put the date of our annual cricket match versus Eversholt in his diary, and is looking forward to coming along and having a drink and a chat with owners and club members! We are very much looking forward to this years renewal which takes place on the evening of Friday 28 June, and hope to add to the jockey list as well - especially when they find out that they don't have to play this year! Bars open boys!! We have arranged the match away from Royal Ascot, and on a day with no National Hunt Racing so hopefully we should get a few of the miscreants there! Stuart Hunter of Crackling Fayre will be providing the hog roast again, and, weather permitting it should be a top night of fun laughter and banter!! Brendan will also pop into fences Farm tomorrow to give The Fonz a school over fences, after which a decision will be made as to wether he stays over hurdles or tackles the bigger ones on his next appearance. Good luck to the Bedford Blues - who take on Newcastle in the first leg of their league play-off tonight in Goldington Road - we will be there lubricating the throat with Guiness and cheering them on!!
