Well - that was a busy weekend!! Friday evening we toddled off to Stratford where Ogee was in the 3m 3f handicap hurdle. Stratford really does need to up its game in terms of looking after it's owners. The O&T bar is woeful - a very limited selction of drinks - beer from cans - no food and generally drab! Everything seems to be so difficult - and the staff are far from helpful, and some of the patrons are downright rude!! Ogee ran well to be third - there is another good race in him soon!! Saturday we had a few folks up the gallops - Bob Graham, John Bartlett and Jo Wheatley with her daughter Molly were all in to see Tara Dancer have a canter. Tara moved very well after her recent little set-back and seemed full of herself! She looks amazing! Amistress and The Fonz both worked very well - TF is declared in Worcester tomorrow. Saturday night I was the Auctioneer at the Broom Village Charity Ball. A great night - and we managed to exract £6,000 form the 120 people who attended, they were a great audience, and really got into the spitit of it all - the money will be heading off to The Keech Hospice, and Help For Heroes! We are also delighted to welcome Malcolm and Lindsay into the Nick Brown Racing Club for the next 12 months - they were succesful bidders in the auction!! Due to being booked to do the Ball we were unfortunately unable to attend the wedding of one of Benefit Cuts owners Howard Cooke. Howard married his partner Claire and we wish them all the best for the future!! Yesterday it was Birthday celebrations in the village - and today my body is telling me I am too old for all this!!
