Thursday 27 June
I suppose it was always odds on, that after a dry spell we would be forecast rain around the time of the Cricket Match. The good news is that it looks as though it will be long gone before the match starts at 6pm. If not - there will still be a pig to eat - and we will have a few fun games anyway - but I am sure we will get a game of cricket looking at the weather!! The Post Code for the Ground is MK17 9DU, so that those of you with Sat Nav can find it easily. This Cricket match serves as our 'Owners Day' when people form different Partnerships and the Racing Club get the chance to all meet up over a pint and a pork roll to chat about their horses, racing, and watch a bit of cricket. With a host of top Jockeys turning up it is a very good social evening, and it looks as though we will have a super turnout this year! It is a shame that some folks can't get there - as this is what being an Owner with NBR is all about!! All the proceeds will go to The Injured Jockeys Fund. Talking of Owners, we are thrilled to welcome Gareth to Nick Brown Racing. Gareth from Batley in Yorkshire has joined the Racing Club and is very excited about having his first runner. Ownership is a long held ambition for him and his wife, and we are very happy to have been able to help him in that regard. He will have his first runner soon enough, as Tara Dancer is only a month off a run now, and he is also very much looking forward to Guest Of Honour running for the Club over the winter. info@nickbrownracing for more details on how to join Gareth in The Racing Club and own 2 horses for just £20/week.
