Lovely weather - very hot again, and the horses that are in full work are out first lot in the morning to try and get the coolest conditions of the day. Tara Dancer did her last serious piece of work this morning before her run in a few days. Yesterday she was entered in a mares bumper in Stratford on Sunday. It was a speculative entry, as the track is unlikely to suit, but as expected there are very few entries and we will have a look later in the week and compare the class of opposition with that and her other target - the mares novice hurdle in Southwell on Tuesday afternoon. The favoured option is the hurdle on Tuesday. We were fortunate enough to be able to sell some more shares yesterday, and now Omaruru is only 2 away from being totally SOLD OUT! Benefit Cut, who has been back in the fold for 4 weeks now, and has been very relaxed and chilled out while he has been doing his walking and trotting, will start to canter this week, he looks in terrific nick, and I can't wait to see him on the course in September. He will be in unfamiliar colours this season, as the agreement between his 2 owners is that he runs one season in one of their colours and one in the other. Howard Cooke had the pleasure of him winning in his colours last season, and this season we are all hoping that Terence Jenner's can be equally as lucky!!
