Tuesday 30 July
As you are all aware - I do try and keep you all up to speed with everything that is happening with all the horses at Fences Farm at all times. We bring you news of every horse - not just the one/ones you are involved in, but details of well being and running plans for all the inmates. I feel that this is important, as Fences Farm is a small, very friendly yard, that encourages interaction with the owners and partnership members - and this is a way of facilitating it. With this in mind I have long been keen on getting some sort of video on to the news pages, and as you can see - I have now managed to do so. The film of Benefit Cut cantering on Saturday was posted late yesterday, but I have put it up again for those that logged on early. The use of the videos is vital to what we do. We try to keep things simple - which this is - there is now no need to log on to my youtube account - and it will give everyone a chance to see their horses at exercise no matter where they are in the country. Every Saturday (apart from racedays) I am at the yard, and will get as much footage as possible to put up on the site. All horses will be included, and hopefully you will all get a look at how your horses are doing!! As you can see from Saturdays clip, Benny is in fantastic order. He is looking in great condition, and as mentioned previously, his mind seems to be perfect. He is settled and going about his work very well. He is being aimed at novice hurdles in late September, before, hopefully, a crack at a nice prize in Kempton, in October. I have been asked over the course of the last week or two about Aeschylus. He is the giant grey, that won his bumper at Towcester last year, since when he has been off with an injury. The news is good - he is recovering well and the plan is for him to be back at Fences Farm in October. His full brother will beat him to it, as the plan is for him to arrive in the next week. Another new face over a door - exciting!
