Wednesday 18 September

Wednesday is schooling day, when the whole string get to have a pop over either the hurdles or fences. This morning, after the overnight rain the ground was perfect and Stuart took the opportunity to get some practice in. He called afterwards to say that, although it has been decided to run both San Telm and Colebrooke over hurdles first up this season, he had given them a pop up the smaller chase fences and they were great. There will be no bother with them taking to the bigger obstacles when the time comes later in the year. Work continues on the gallop, and with a good run, they are hopeful of having it fully functional from next Tuesday. It will not be until the horses can work the full distance that they will know their fitness levels - so when they have we can start looking at some of the race options that we have pencilled in for each of them.
