Last night and this morning have been spent trying to find out the relevant information to make the decision as to where to run San Telm this week! Yesterday he was entered in the big handicap in Chepstow on Saturday which ended up looking like the strongest renewal for a couple of years. If Mr King ran Cheltenham Festival winner Medinas at the top of the weights - ST would have been out of the handicap. It was a bit early for Mr King to make the call, so with that in mind we have decided to take the first available opportunity and go to Fontwell tomorrow. The race is a few grades lower than the two at the weekend, and we are very hopeful that he will run well. His form from last season is very strong, and the trip and ground should suit.Brendan Powell takes over from Tom O'Brien (retained by Mr Hobbs) in the saddle, which, with 3 meetings on Saturday, and the difficulty of getting a jockey, was the another reason for going tomorrow. It was quite a decision making process! Our exciting 3 yr old filly arrived at Fences Farm yesterday afternoon, and it was about half an hour later that she had a new owner!! We welcome Colin Bellamy to Nick Brown Racing and wish him luck with his first venture into ownership. Colin, from the West Country, first found out about us from the article in the Sunday Telegraph, and was impressed with our honesty and hard work, and the fact that we are constantly doing the best for both our horses and owners! We look forward to seeing him soon, and welcoming him to Fences Farm to meet his 'new hobby'! Tuesday is a work morning, and those that can do quicker bits of work will. Smart Exit will be an exception, as he will need to just stick to plenty of cantering until later this week to let his joint settle down. The plan with him would be to work at the weekend, and hopefully earn an entry in Wetherby on November 1st. If he misses that engagement we are likely to have to wait until his primary target at Huntingdon later in November. Guest Of Honour worked really well on Saturday - as good a piece of work as we have seen from him - and he has earned himself an entry in Bangor On Dee next Monday. He is not a definite runner, but we will have a look and go from there. Omaruru is going very nicely again, and we will look for a novice handicap chase for him in about a month. Colebrooke also work eye-catchingly on Saturday and is still on target for Stratford on Saturday, although who will ride is still a bit up in the air with the other 2 big meetings on! Finally - on the right you will see the most wonderful picture - some of you may recognise the horse - it's our old boy Bobby Gee!! This picture just sums up why it was worth the time, money and effort in keeping dear old Bobby for all those months to find him the right home!! This is also a great example of how ex racehorses can have a second crack at life, and find a super home for life. Both Jordan-Marie and Bobby look a picture of happiness - great to see!!
