Stuart was on the phone before I set off for the final day of my First Aid At Work course this morning to report that San Telm was definitely showing no ill effects of the colic and subsequent sore muscles that had kept him off games since his last run. He schooled over fences this morning alongside recent chase winner Colebrooke and BOTH were fantastic. We had said here before ST's chasing debut that he had schooled really well, but he hardly looked a natural in his race, but it all, points to the colic that was the cause and nothing else. ST will be ready to run (over fences) in about a fortnight, and we will look for races tomorrow. Benefit Cut has had his final treatment and will start cantering again on Thursday. His work will then be stepped up and he should be ready to go between Christmas and New Year. Maypole Lass also schooled this morning, and is ready to go on Saturday, the race is perfectly timed so that her owner, Ben turner will see her run in between his pre match meal, and the trip to the ground. She has come on a bundle for her hurdling debut. Dawn Commander has settled in very well, and is a lovely natured chap. He has not been in work for a couple of weeks and has lost a bit of muscle - but the team will build him up over the course of the next few weeks. Stuart is very happy with him.
