Yesterday Native Princess and Genny Wren were dropped off at the vets for their wind ops. Both had their procedures yesterday, and the vet has reported this morning that both are up fine and doing well. Native Princess had disappointed in Warwick at the end of last week, but after her op the vet said that her soft palate was very very slack, and would have been considerably performance inhibiting! All in all it looks as though the op was very much needed, and she will be a whole lot better for it! She will now have an easy 2 weeks, but all being well should be cantering again in a fortnight. Benefit Cut has had his stitches removed and so far his injury is holding up well. He seems in good form and a decision on his participation will be made on Monday next week after Stuart has assessed the state of the cut and the vets have done some blood tests. San Telm has had a very easy 10 days since his run and it has done him the world of good!! he is bouncing again, and we will start to look for races for him in 2-3 weeks time. All the horses that ran over the weekend seem fine and we look forward to seeing them out again soon, their performances can be built upon. In the handicap ratings this morning, the movers and shakers are - Colebrooke (-3 to 114), Genny Wren (-11 to 78), and Carolina Wren enters the charts at 117! Much as expected really, it does now give Colebrooke a chance to run in his grade without lumping topweight, and he is getting close to winning again! Dawn Commander is entered in Doncaster at the weekend, and with only 13 entries (and plenty with alternative engagements) it looks like being a nice way to start his hurdling career for us - I can't wait!!
