Monday 14 July
A glorious morning on Saturday, and the horses all look in really good shape! All have done themselves really well while on their holidays, which gives the team plenty to work on as they go through their conditioning work. Benefit Cut and San Telm look really well!! If proof were ever needed that the horses prefer the comfort of their stables to the biting horse flies in the field, you only had to watch Maypole Lass on Saturday morning. With the flies driving her semi mad, she had a little hooley around the field, finishing up with s sliding stop at the tap near the gate. Next minute she had managed to limbo her way underneath and was battering at the gate to get back in her stable! Clever pony - it worked!! It was a pleasure to show Steve Newland and his son Jack around Fences Farm on Saturday morning. Although a quite time, there was enough to see, and they got to watch Genny Wren work with Ereyna, with Mr Maynard in behind. All three worked well. Steve emailed Saturday afternoon to say how much they had enjoyed their visit, and hopefully we will see him again soon. Cloonacool's form was franked on Friday evening, when Hash Brown who had finished 2 lengths in front of him (in receipt of 5 lbs) in May, ran a very solid race to be third in a decent looking bumper in Cork. The winner, second, and fourth were all bumper winners so the form looks strong! A few shares are still available, and his form is looking strong, so please give me a call on 07909 518902, if you would like to come and have a look at this cracking looking son of Beneficial!! Just £650 + £20/week!! Great Value. The picture on the right is the view Alice had this morning form on top of Benefit Cut - she tweeted 'Look at those ears, can't wait to canter this beut!!'
