Having mentioned on these pages earlier in the week, that we have sourced a super prospect for Juvenile hurdles this winter- it did not take long for one man to step up to the plate. He is willing to take a half share in the horse - so now all I am looking for is someone to take the other half! The horse is a smashing prospect for Juvenile hurdles - a big scopey individual, with bags of quality, he is by a Derby winner, and hails from a super Family, with a multiple Group 1 winner (and now sire), not too far away in the pedigree!! His current trainer has stated that he 'needs to jump a hurdle', and he has the size and scope to go on and jump a fence in the future as well!! More good news yesterday, with the Cloonacool form taking another shot in the arm! On his final run Cloonacool was fifth (not beaten far) in a bumper in Ballinrobe - a race that, at the time, I thought was quite decent - and so it is proving. Cloonacool was the last one off the bridle that day, showing a really nice cruising speed, only weakening in the last 200 yards (under 12 stone). Staying on past him on that occasion (and carrying 5lbs less) was Hash Brown - this horse was placed in a decent bumper last time out, and yesterday finished 4th at the Galway Festival - in a race that usually throws up some very nice types! All in all the form looks pretty good, and everything that Cloonacool has done whilst he has been with us suggests that he will be enormous fun throughout the winter. All the girls who have ridden him love him, and Stuart, who rode him last Saturday for the first time, said he gives you a very similar feel to Benefit Cut!! If he turned out like that one we would be delighted!!
