Tuesday 23 September

Brett the Vet was in yesterday to scope a few more. Stuart likes to get it done after a Monday morning canter, so that he can step on the gas with those that are ready on the Tuesday. Yesterday most were clean, although San Telm will just need a day or two of antibiotics and an hour or two a day in the field - his scope was only 90% - but it will not hold him up - he is raring to go!! Benefit Cut scoped 100%, which will please his co-owner, Howard Cooke who is up this morning to see his boys work - Howard currently also has shares in San Telm and Smart Exit. Ben Turner got in touch yesterday, and it was good to tell him that his horses were all in good order - Maypole Lass seems in fine form, and is likely to head to Ludlow in early October for a valuable Mares handicap hurdle. Ben and his brother Ryan have recently purchased a share in Cloonacool, who continues to please everyone in his work. I compared his character to our dear old friend Bobby Gee at the weekend, but Stuart felt that riding him - he gave you more of a feel of Benefit Cut - if he turns out like that one we will be OK! And he is by the same sire!! We do still have a number of shares on offer, including in the 126 rated San Telm, and the ultra consistent, Smart Exit - please have a look at them on the For Sale Page, and get in touch. They will all be running very very soon, so you will be getting some instant fun!! San Telm could even have a spin around Cheltenham in either October or November (or possibly both). There are also shares available in Cloonacool (not many) and the beautifully bred Native Princess - who - after a wind op is much improved on her last seasons run!!
