It was certainly not a 'steering job' for Brendan on Cloonacool yesterday in Stratford!! George is not the brightest, and having never raced around a left handed bend before, didn't really cope with it at all - giving his pilot a bit of a torrid time. That wasn't all he managed to do wrong in fairness - he pulled far too hard, and walked through most of his hurdles as well!! How he managed to win I will never know! But win he did - what a lovely way to start the season proper - and the 4th win from 5 runs for the Nick Brown Racing horses!! Cloonacool came home and got his head straight into his feed, and there doesn't appear to be a bother on him this morning. He will have a couple of days off, and go again in about 3-4 weeks. There are still shares available in him, but please - if you continually ring me up before one of our horses run to 'enquire' about buying a share, with no real intention of doing so - only to find out if it will win on the day - then please stop - as you may find you get some very misleading information next time - which could prove costly!! If you are genuinely interested in a share in Cloonacool then please get in touch, there are only a couple left! Maypole Lass runs in Ludlow tomorrow, in the valuable mares handicap hurdle. Lets see if we can make it 2 winners in 3 days for her owner Ben Turner ( he has a share in Cloonacool). She seems in very good form at home, and Brendan rides again. Mr Maynard also makes the trip, and hopefully he will go better than his last run in Fontwell.
