Sunday 2 November

A glorious morning on the Fences Farm gallops yesterday! Tee shirt and sunglasses on the 1st of November - amazing! Native Princess breezed well with Maypole Lass and Clonacool. Cloonacool runs today in Huntingdon, he has a big task in a deeper race than the one he won, and carrying a 7lb penalty for that win, but he will run a solid race nonetheless. Maypole Lass is declared to run in a mares novice hurdle in Plumpton tomorrow. She has by far the best hurdles form in the race, and is in good form, I think any of the mares coming from bumpers will have to be quite decent to stop her breaking her maiden tomorrow. San Telm did one canter and appears in good order - his wounds have healed and he will be aimed at a nice handicap hurdle in Haydock Park later this month. The one we needed our sunglasses on for was Smart Exit who did by far the best piece of work I've ever seen him do! He worked in behind Mr Maynard (winner, and second last time out) and Inca Dove (second in a bumper) and cruised between them to go on and win his work in some style by 4-5 lengths. He thoroughly enjoyed himself, and looks to have finally matured this year - he will go to Chepstow on Wednesday with a spring in his step, and could be up to running a bug race, if the proposed removal of the headgear also helps him! There are still a couple of shares for sale in him, so have a look and get in touch - he is a gorgeous horse, and could well put his new owner in the winners enclosure very quickly. He is on the For Sale page - take a peek and give me a call - 07909 518902!
