Monday 10 November
A good crowd of owners in on Saturday morning, and they saw a super piece of work, with San Telm upsides Dawn Commander really getting their heads down and putting in a great shift. Both are in tip top form, and will have entries in the near future. DC has been entered in a listed handicap hurdle in Cheltenham on Saturday, and both will be entered in Market Rasen a week on Thursday. In behind this pair, Clonacool and Carolina Wren swung along with Michael and Fiona's Brackloon High tucked in behind. Theses three were all very pleasing!
It was lovely to welcome both Pat Fitzgerald, and Ken Jackson to Fences Farm for the first time. They have both supported the yard from afar for sometime, and I am pleased to say that they were both impressed with the set up, that they have each joined Nick Brown Racing, and will be enjoying their racing with Cloonacool in the future. We wish them luck with their new horse! Native Princess is declared to run in Lingfield tomorrow. An All Weather bumper would not be ideal for her as she would ideally like a more galloping track, but she will take her chance. She was very disappointing in Warwick in the spring, but her wind was found to be wrong, and she also tweaked a ligament in that race, so hopefully we will see an improvement tomorrow, even if she may not be quite good enough to win. She will be over hurdles sooner rather than later.
