Dawn Commander is home! Further veterinary tests today have conformed what was found yesterday. He has three fractures/cracks at the top of his tail, which although painful, are not structural, so therefore an easy fix. He has also cracked a part of his pelvis, but as mentioned yesterday, the vets say that if he had to crack his pelvis anywhere, the place that he has done it is the best. Yesterday the thoughts were 4-6 weeks box rest and crack on - today that has been revised and we are looking at 3-4 weeks and start ticking away with him again, before he loses too much of his muscle mass. This is super news, and we look forward to getting him back up and running again! Benefit Cut was ridden this morning, as they felt it was the best way to assess him. Pleased to say that he was 100% sound - but Alice reported him to be very quiet. He will be blood tested later in the week. I am sure something will come to light. Elsewhere we are on the lookout for horses in Ireland for a number of clients, and even a new syndicate horse. Talking of syndicates, please don't forget that we do have a handful of shares left in Native Princess - she was unlucky not to win her bumper a couple of weeks ago, and will be targeting another one of those before going hurdling - give me a call if you are interested (07909 518902). Recent winner Cloonacool has come out of his race in great order, so much so, we may change the original plan and possibly give him another run between now and Christmas, with options around the 5th 6th and 7th of December.
