Last night I had the pleasure of speaking to the Bedfordshire Racing Club, at their monthly meeting in Langford. I am told that there was a good turn out - but I am sure that had more to do with the Christmas buffet on offer, than the overwhelming urge to listen to what I had to say!! Those assembled seemed to enjoy the evening, although I am sure they must have enjoyed listening to the likes of John Gosden in the past far more than me. For anyone local - they meet once a month in Langford, and looks to be a really well run club attended by like minded racing fans. Thanks go to Martin Brookes who helped arrange the evening. Back at base - Carolina Wren has an entry in Doncaster on Friday, the ground up there is Good, so she would want rain, but it looks like that will come Thursday night!! The other negative is that she is in against the boys, and the team would prefer it if they could have found a race for her in her own sex, but they are just not about at present - She scoped clean yesterday and is in good form. A point to pointer we are interested in over in Ireland - we will make some follow ups today.
