Monday 22 December

A fine and bright morning on Saturday, and we had Terence Jenner, co owner of Benefit Cut, in to see his horse swing along second lot. He was joined by his son in law Martyn Fowkes, and they wee both really pleased by the way BC is coming back to form. Blood test results on Friday evening indicated that he is well on the road to recovery, and with another week of strong, but not serious work, it should be all systems go again with him. He swung up behind Smart Exit who is back on good terms with himself, and he was upsides new boy Paddy The Deejay, who impressed on his first time going a bit quicker - he looks a really nice horse, but as he was given an easier week in Ireland before he came over, he will need a couple or three bits of strong work to be ready to rumble. He will start off in a bumper. Cloonacool, who this morning has been entered in both Kempton (27th) and Leicester (28th) did a really eyecatching piece of work 3rd lot, and he looks in great form! We will make a decision about where he goes when we have seen the opposition. The yard Christmas party this year is on Saturday January 3rd, at The Cowpers Oak, Weston Underwood. This year the team have said they would like to open the evening up to owners, syndicate and club members, so you are all invited! Please let me know if you would like to attend (text/email) so that they can get an idea on numbers. There is a hot buffet on offer as well, and it a really good night. All they ask is that to help the night along is that those that attend are kind enough to make a contribution of £10/head towards their Christmas Fund! It is a good night - and well worth it!!
