Wednesday 31 December

Happy New Year to you all - the last day of 2014 hasn't gone completely to plan - with Warwick being abandoned. We will have to wait a few days to see Paddy The Deejay to make his UK debut. He will be entered in Huntingdon on January 9th. It was good to see Howard Cooke up at he yard to see his horses Benefit Cut and San Telm. BC worked well in behind Paddy The Deejay and Smart Exit, and worked well, he will be aimed at Kempton on January 10th. San Telm went for a walk and a trot around the farm, this is the first week ha has been ridden since he started feeling a joint, and he is on good terms with himself. Charlotte Groom was in to see her boys Smart Exit and Dawn Commander, SE worked very well and will head to Chepstow on January 16th, DC, like ST is walking and trotting and is back on track after the trauma of Cheltenham. Although Paddy The Deejay missed out on a run today, he did work, and he did work very very well - he looks a really nice addition to the ranks! His work rider this morning, Emma, who to be fair, is never one to build them up, could hardly conceal her liking for big Paddy!! Cloonacool is having and easy time of things, but is in great order after his run, Ken Jackson was in this morning to see him, and was pleased with how he looks. He will be out again in February - we just have to puzzle out a target for him!
