Tuesday 20 January
Tuesday is a work morning, and this morning the speedsters were at it. Reyno, although only rated 98 has always been one of the best work horses on the place. He is the ideal work mate for even the 2 milers, and this morning he was paired with 130 rated Cloonacool. These two worked very well, but it was what was going on in behind that caught the eye, for right on their tales, and travelling very smoothly was Paddy The Deejay. Paddy ran in a Huntingdon bumper a week and a half ago, and on the day it was decided to make a lot of use of him to make the most of his experience, and as he had won 2 point to points, his stamina. This now looks like a bit of an error, and he looks to have plenty of speed. As mentioned yesterday, he will have 4 entries at the back end of next week - 2 in bumpers, and 2 in hurdles. He will be ridden very differently, and they are confident you will see a better horse for it! Native Princess is comfortable in her box, and I am sure the vet will cast his eye over her later this week. Dawn Commander will resume ridden work over the next couple of days. All in all things are ticking away gently, and it will not be long before Stuart is making his first entries in his name. We all wish him the very vest, and he can count on our continued support, and hopefully we will be able to find him a few more really nice horses as well!
