Cloonacool Update - He is coming home today! The vets are very happy with him, and he is going the right way! On arrival back at Fences Farm he will have his stitches removed next week and spend the next 3 weeks on box rest. He can then go on the walker. At the moment it looks as though his total 'down time' will be around 10 weeks, which means we are unlikely to see him race again this season. The vet report states: 'The prognosis is good. Arthroscopic treatment of infected tendon sheath structures within the first 36 hours carries a good outlook.' It will be good to have him home. Paddy The Deejay continues to have his head flushed - and has taken to it very well - he even had a hack canter yesterday, which is extraordinary considering he has a rubber pipe out of the side of his head!! If you had to chose any of them in the yard to go through this (why would you)! It would be him - he is a saint! We have everything crossed tomorrow for blood test and scopes - if they are all OK then we can kick on with a few! Kayla makes her debut in a mares bumper in Fakenham tomorrow - a race that would not look out of place in Ascot on Saturday! It looks hot, and a watching brief is advised.
