Thursday 19 February

We are keeping a close eye on the weather. Benefit Cut is declared to run in the feature race in Warwick tomorrow, but we wouldn't want to run him on very testing ground. He has form on Heavy, but has been on the sidelines for a bit due to being off colour, and he wouldn't want pulling about in very testing conditions. Soft is fine, but any heavier and it wouldn't be. Yesterday the forecast looked awful from this morning onwards, but it has changed, and now they don't look like getting the amount of rain they expected - so we took the chance and declared. Tomorrows pilot Josh Moore was in this morning and breezed him, and he said he felt really well. Josh rode Reyno second lot, and then got to feel first hand how well Paddy The Deejay is feeling third lot. Josh will confirm that PDJ is in fine form!!! PDJ has had a tube in the side of his head for a week, to flush out his sinus, and this morning it was removed - he seemed to appreciate it!! He should be back on course again in about 3 weeks. Stuart rode San Telm, and said he felt fantastic, he will be quickening up in a week! Native Princess will head off to the vets this afternoon to have her joint medicated. She looks in fantastic order, and the hold up has done her no harm - she is still developing. Josh said again this morning how much he liked her, so hopefully she will be ready to go when the better ground is more prevalent.
