The busy times continue! An early start in Towcester to watch Dawn Commander and Bold Conquest have a racecourse gallop. Bob Graham decided to find out if there was another 7 o'clock in the day and came along, as did Bob Edwards. Bob G has shares in both horses, and Bob E has a share in Bold Conquest. Stuart rode BC, and Megan rode DC. Both went very well, DC behaving, and taking a good tug all the way round. With the ground quite patchy, they weren't got off the bridle, but the work was good. Back to Fences, and a quick visit from Phil and Wendy Haslam. Phil and Wendy have had shares with up in the past, and I am pleased to say that they have taken the plunge again and taken a share in Bold Conquest! Their visit was brief unfortunately as we had to dash off to the vets with San Telm, who has been just slightly lame on and off for a while. After a very comprehensive examination involving scans and xrays he was found to have a very slight problem that will unfortunately rule him out of the rest of the season. The vet is very very confident that a brief rest in a pen, and a spell in the field and he will be back racing again in the Autumn! He still has plenty of ability and was in fine form before he started limping so there is still plenty to look forward to! Smart Exit is entered in Warwick on Monday, along with Benefit Cut who's race looks red hot! Hopefully it will cut up a bit! Maypole Lass will be entered in Huntingdon next Tuesday, and will aim to go there.
