Wednesday 8 April

Dawn Commander is declared in Aintree tomorrow, Josh rides. Stuart has DC in great order, and he will need to be as this is a big ask. DC has had a racecourse gallop in Towcester a couple of weeks ago, and despite having a slight self harming issue a few weeks ago all has gone well with him. The team at Fences Farm have done a great job as he is not the easiest! They have all of his current 'party tricks' covered - so hopefully he will not produce another different one tomorrow!! As it is the Grand National meeting O&T arrangements are a little different. There is only 1 O&T car park, at The Railway Club on Melling Road. There is a short walk to the O&T reception which is on the inside of the racecourse. Melling road is only accessible by one route off the M57 Jubction 6. Please follow the signs. As I only received the car park labels today you are asked to quote Dawn Commander to the security staff on the gate of the O&T car park and they will let you park there. I have cleared that with Carly Goodall and her team. Once in, things are different again. No Papillion Suite tomorrow for O&T's! The main O&T bar is situated in the Dodson and Horrell Owners and Trainers Pavillion overlooking the parade ring. O&T Badges will also allow access to the Reynolds Town Bar which is on the ground floor of the Lord Sefton stand, opposite the washdown area, and just around the corner from the O&T viewing area. (I believe this is where those of you that have been before will have collected the O&T badges from for the 'normal meetings').Owners will receive a food voucher which can be redeemed at the Deli counter in the O&T Pavillion, or places can be booked in the Greens Restaurant by contacting Joanna Teasdale on 0151 522 2951, or emailing joanne.teasdale@jockeyclubcatering.co.uk Lets hope for a good day, and we look forward to seeing you all there tomorrow!! Bold Conquest is also in fine form, and will head to Fontwell on Friday. I will contact all of his owners tomorrow to confirm this, and arrange badges. On that list will be Claire - who popped in to see BoC yesterday, and has purchased a share in him. We wish her the very best of luck with her first racehorse! Benefit Cut has come out of his race in Warwick in good order, and after schooling today and scoping tomorrow, he could well get an entry in Cheltenham next Wednesday! He has gone down 2lbs in the handicap this week! Ereyna and Kayla both seem fine after their runs on Monday. Maypole Lass has an entry on the flat on Saturday evening. A filly and mares maiden over 1m4f. She may well take her chance, and Cam Hardie has been booked to ride. It's all go!! Could be news of a very exciting new purchase from Ireland next week!! Stay tuned!!
