Well - that didn't last long! Christmas Twenty arrived from Ireland at 5.00am on Friday, and by yesterday lunchtime I had a waiting list of people wanting shares in him, if anyone were to drop out!! I knew this horse was outstanding value - and with his looks and athleticism he was always going to be popular - but I didn't expect him to sell out quite so quickly. We have a mixture of new owners and existing clients take shares in him, and we are very grateful for their support, and for the trust that they have put in us to provide them with top quality horses at value prices - when we found the right animal, thankfully the right people were in place to go head! This imposing son of Zagreb is a very exciting prospect, and we are looking forward to showing him off to 2 of his new owners tomorrow! The handicapper published his amendments this morning - Dawn Commander goes up 2lbs - to the mark he won off last week!! ie. He remains on 142. This is probably 2lbs less than we thought so that is encouraging. Maypole Lass has been dropped a further 3lbs to 105 - which will help to find her a winners bracket! Bold Conquest is well and is an intended runner in Uttoxeter on Saturday. The race looks very competitive but we will go and test him out over the 3 miles - still a couple of shares left in him - and the price goes up on Friday - so if you fancy having a dabble in racehorse ownership, he really is instant action!! Native Princess is in fine form, and her cantering is going well - we are looking forward to getting going with her again! Great to see Punchestown looking in fine order (between the showers). Watching the action from there always reminds me of going over there and winning the big Novice Handicap Chase on the Friday of the 2006 Festival with Olney Lad - a day I will never forget!
