Wednesday 29 April
A pleasure to introduce Tim and David to Stuart and Fences Farm this morning. Both are new faces to NBR, and have taken a share each in Christmas Twenty. Tim has had horses before, and David is a first time owner - we thank them very much for their support, and wish them the very best of luck with CT. They got to see him do a couple of canters on the top of the gallop this morning, and they would not have been disappointed in what they saw. CT is a fine athletic horse, who impresses me more and more each time I see him! Lots to dream about over the summer!! Bold Conquest is still on course for Uttoxeter at the weekend, and appears in good form - he nearly unshipped Stuart this morning - so you know he is feeling well! Benefit Cut remains in good order, and is getting plenty of fresh air out in the paddock during the day - it does him the world of good! Dawn Commander is also in fine fettle and will be prepared for Haydock on May 9th. Maypole Lass did one gentle canter this morning, and seems none the worse for her run on quick ground around Plumpton. All being well she will head to Uttoxeter next. Native Princess did two canters from the bottom and was on her best behaviour (for a change). She too is on great terms with herself! Kayla is declared in Towcester tomorrow, but Stuart will need to satisfy himself with the state of the ground as they were banking on a bit more ran than they got, and the ground could well be fairly quick - be prepared for a raft of non runners there tomorrow evening!
