The extremely hot weather we are experiencing today is lovely if you are sitting by a pool and sipping a cold one, but for everything else it id stifling!! It makes life with the horses very difficult, and I would not want to be running around Worcester this afternoon. I have long been an advocate of there being grounds to abandon a jumps meeting if the temperature rises above 25 degrees, in my opinion it is fine to run on the flat in this sort of heat, but 3 miles over fences is a bit much!! At least the dry weather is in our favour for later in the week when Dawn Commander holds an entry in Market Rasen. The slight fear are the forecast thunderstorms that look like popping up on Friday night. A downpour on watered ground wouldn't do us any favours!
