The yard continue in good form with another placed effort yesterday, and today our Partnerships have two runners. Christmas Twenty runs in the 2.10 in Warwick, and Native Princess in the 4.30 in Bangor On Dee. Stuart will travel CT to Warwick - travelling is the watch word for the day for CT. He got himself very agitated on the way to Southwell for his debut for The Chicheley Partnership last month, and Stuart and the tem have worked hard on this aspect of his day. CT will travel to the races in ahood, and accompanied by another horse - this has worked at home, so we hope it will work today. The race is possibly a touch on the short side for him, but the trip to the races of just over an hour is the key - he will not be on the road too long, and we feel that this is the most important part of his day. In saying that, the form of his last run, when he definitely left his race on the M1 is not working out too bad, and he definitely has plenty of ability - fingers crossed he gets to the races in a sensible state and can show us a bit more of what he has got. I was considering making a dash from Warwick to Bangor, but felt that it would only take a very slight hold up to make me miss NP, so I am just heading to Bangor. NP is in great heart, and looks to have a reasonable chance in the 4.30. She won on her hurdles debut, beating two rivals who have both gone on to score next time out. The extra distance of this heat will suit, and this tough an genuine mare should run well, although there are a couple of nice sorts in here that will make life tough for her under a penalty! Hopefully they both come home safe and sound. Dawn Commander is off to the vets this morning to have his wind operation tomorrow. This has been brought forward a couple of weeks as the surgeon is out of the country for a couple of months shortly, and we felt it was best to get him to do it before he left. DC will have the op tomorrow, and remain in the vets for a couple of days afterwards. He will then need the thick end of a month to recover, before he resumes light work in early November. This will still leave us on course for a spring restart!!
