Monday 26 October
Cloonacool is entered for Ascot on Saturday. He is in good order, and worked well on Saturday. Josh Moore will be in on Wednesday to have a sit on him, and he will take the ride. Paddy Brennan will be in Wetherby to ride Cue Card in the Charlie Hall Chase. On Wednesday, Josh will also have a sit on Christmas Twenty. Their first go together hardly went to plan, and Josh will get to know him a bit better this week. CT has entries later this week and Josh will ride. Stuart will decide where CT runs - he has entries in Stratford and Uttoxeter. The most important thing about the run this week is to get him to behave and run a race - the result is secondary on this occasion. CT has ability, it is just up to him to let himself show it! Kayla also worked well on Saturday, and has an entry in Uttoxeter on Friday as well. Stuart is keen to get another run into her while she is fit and well, and while there is still some genuinely good ground about. She isn't half as good on juicy ground and will have a winter break after one more run. I would appreciate if Cloonacools owners could give me an idea of how many badges they need for Saturday - it is not going to be easy to cater for all, and O&T badges will be at a premium, so unfortunately we will not be able to cater for guests this time. Please also be aware that there is a strict dress code at Ascot and they maintain a no jeans policy. They also require a jacket, with a collared shirt and tie. Absolutely no trainers. Ladies should dress as for a smart occasion.
