Sunday 27 December
We are waiting on news form jockeys agent Dave Roberts, as to where his boys are going on Tuesday. Bold Conquest is entered in Doncaster, and we already know that regulars, Josh Moore and Brendan Powell are not going to be at the meeting. Tom O'Brien rode him the last day, and did a great job, but 10.4 would be right at the bottom of what he is capable of, so even if he were at the meeting we may not get him!! BC is also in at Warwick on Thursday, where he will have to carry a minimum of 11.8. The race is more suitable in terms of opposition, but the ground will be very testing. The opposition is red hot in Doncaster, but their ground will be far better. As you can see it is a difficult choice, and the availability of a good one in Doncaster, or one of our Conditionals in Warwick will determine where he goes. There is also a race in Ludlow on the 4th, but with all the rain they are getting in the west, we are minded to take our chance sooner rather than later. I will let everyone know as soon as possible. Elsewhere, Christmas Twenty worked really well yesterday, with Bold Conquest, and is on track for Fakenham on the 1st. Sneaking Budge sat in behind and had a great tow in his work, and went really well as well.
