A horrible morning at Fences Farm! Pouring rain when arriving did ease, but those that rode out first lot found themselves stripping off and putting their gear either in the yard tumble drier, or on the boiler to dry out over breakfast. Good to see hardy souls - John, Adrian and Ollie in to see their horses. With all the wet weather it meant that we had to walk up to the top, but we got to see two do nice pieces of work. Smart Exit looked back on song! Sneaking Budge cantered, Bold Conquest and Cloonacool did the same. All looked in fine form. Only one mover in the handicap ratings this week by the way - Christmas Twenty down 4 to 111. No surprise that he wants to see one more run from Sneaking Budge, but interesting to see that he has left Pillard that finished 5 lengths behind him (giving him 10lbs) on his initial UK mark of 129 - this would put SB on 124. We get to see what he thinks of Cloonacool next week - any guesses?? I think he will be 142!
