Last weeks long list, became a short list on Tuesday - and yesterday the three that we were interested in at the Goffs UK August Sale - were inspected. All lists were whittled down to just 1 - and that made an unbelievable 60,000!! The quest continues, and the search moves on to Ascot next week where there is one on the radar so far! I am looking for 2 horses - one for a 25 person syndicate - with a capital cost of around £600 plus £25/week all inclusive training/keep fee, and a 6/8 person syndicate, with capital costs of between £3000 and £4000 with monthly costs of £250 to £350 per month. I am looking to purchase 2 3 yr olds off of the flat - that we think will make even better hurdlers. This is a plan that has served us really well in the past - with all bar one of our previous purchases winning over hurdles. We spend a great deal of time and energy uncovering these hidden gems - and we are confident we will have the right ones when we get to pull the trigger on them.
