Monday 3 October

It was a glorious start to Saturday morning at Fences Farm, although that did change! Lovely to see Graham, Stuart and Trina for their first visit to see their boy Sneaking Budge - they were joined by John who was in to see Bold Conquest and Sneaking Budge. Budge was doing his first quicker piece of work, and went well with Pine Warbler third lot. Second lot the visitors got to see Bold Conquest work in behind Wolf Of Windlesham and Aristocles. Bold Conquest seems back on song, and scoped immaculately on Thursday morning. He will have a run in Plumpton on the 17th to see where we are with him, and to see if he needs his wind looking at, now that he is gunk free! Apasionado had been schooled in Ireland before he arrived, and he showed it when schooled for the first time since his arrival, last Friday. Stuart has to be careful with him as he can get a little wound up, so his schooling sessions will be short and sweet, but if the reports of last Friday are anything to go by - he won't need a lot - as he was described as electric. He will have an entry in Uttoxeter on the 13th. Cloonacool along with a couple of others had some light therapy on Saturday. C has been a little stiff first thing in the mornings, and this will help him, along with a session or two with the chiropractor. He is still on course for Ascot. Pull Together worked first lot on Saturday, and they say he was very good in behind two good yardsticks. He has been going well recently, and needs to run, so he has an entry in Chepstow next Sunday. If the ground is on the soft side of good he will make the trip. Molly Childers was scoped last week, and is on another course of antibiotics as the first course hasn't quite cleared her up. She will be worth the wait for her owners - she is a nice mare!
