We have a watchful eye on the weather - particularly in South East Wales!! Pull Together is due to make his UK/Rules debut in the concluding bumper on their 2 day card. At the moment they are saying that the ground is on the soft side of good, and they intend to keep it like that for Saturday, but there is no talk of watering to maintain that ground on Sunday, and as his race is the last of the fixture it could well have dried up a good deal by then. We will keep an open mind. I have spoken to Jack Pryor the Clerk of The Course in Market Rasen which is the venue of his next possible run,and he confirms that they will still be using the summer track at the course, which at the moment would be softer than the winter track after a summer of irrigation. The one thing we don't want to do is risk Pull Together, he is a lovely big framed prospect, and an awful lot to look forward to as his recent homework has been very good. He has a long, and hopefully successful career ahead of him. Apasionado will school tomorrow - he was very good last week - and gave Alice a terrific feel! He is on course for the 13th in Uttoxeter. Cloonacool will not work on Saturday as he is due a visit from the chiropractor on Friday, and will have a day off on Saturday to let his muscles settle down. Standard practice. He remains on course for Ascot. Bold Conquest is on track for Plumpton, and is well.
