Friday 7 October

Apasionado has an entry to make his hurdling debut in Uttoxeter next Thursday 13th. He is in the 2 mile EBF Novice Hurdle qualifier. He has schooled really well, and the aim is to get him qualified as soon as we can, as this then gives us an end of season target to aim at. He will of course need to run 3 times over hurdles a earn a rating of around 125, but from what he has shown us at home, and what he showed us when winning his bumoer on debut for the yard he is very capable of that. Cloonacool will be having massage tomorrow, as will Pull Together who isn't travelling to Chepstow. PT is fine but seems a bit stiff in his back, and could do with just loosening up a bit, with this in mind, and with a dry forecast, Stuart wants to miss his second option of Market Rasen next weekend and wait for some proper rain. This young horse is worth waiting for and he will repay his owners patience I am sure! Molly Childers is going great guns, and will be ready to run in about a month. We will look at the programme book shortly, and while we are at it we will soon be able to find a target for Sneaking Budge, who is also in great nick!! The new Owners Pavilion is coming along, Steph has been hard at work decorating, and the electrics should be sorted out soon! All we need to do is get the tea/coffee/something stronger in there, and a table and some chairs and we will be well away for the winter!! It is not what you are probably expecting!! Photos tomorrow - any spare furniture that anyone feels the need to be rid of will be gratefully received!!
